I was so excited when last Spring, my friend from high school, Ashley contacted me for coverage of her and her fiance Pat's wedding day. It's so nice to reconnect with old friends while doing something I love and on such a special day for them. Ashley got ready with a lot of joyfully excited little girls around her which made for some sweet moments between them. I then followed them to their ceremony site where they wed in front of a small group of close friends and family. It was very intimate and sweet and I felt really special to have been there. Here are a few favorites from the day!

Sierra and Justin decided to marry at their alma mater, The University of Maine! I love the idea of the campus as a venue because it offers different kinds scenery, including the oriental gardens, which were in FULL bloom on their wedding day. These two detailed their wedding with little nods to their passion, music. The bouquets were made out of music paper, a chorus of friends sang at their ceremony, and they had kareoke at the reception. If the Zang wedding was any indication of how the rest of my season will play out then I'm really happy about things! Thanks so much for having me document your special day. Here are a few of my favorites from the Zang wedding!

OH May! You always come right when I need you to. Just when it seems like Maine will never shake winter you come in with your fresh blooms and 70 degree weather. June is shaping up to be a pretty busy month with weddings, second shooting, a move, and a few new developments that have been in the works for awhile now. But not to fast June! Here are some little things from May.
-We celebrated Cinco de Mayo with the traditional Margaritas at Margaritas. Yep, pretty basic.
-I called my mother on mothers day.
-May is for ice cream.
-I had my first styled shoot of 2015 at Old Orchard Beach and I can't wait to show some images from our Boardwalk Bride themed shoot. It was such a fun time and made even sweeter since I'm still going through the candy that was left over.
-I went with a fellow photographer to Acadia to see what the light was doing at sunrise. I feel so fortunate to live so close to such beautiful and amazing places.
-Our dryer broke so I spent a good part of last saturday at the laundry mat taking to many ridiculous selfies.

And the 2015 wedding season is OFF! We are doing it! This is happening! It's turning out to be amazing and beautiful already and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. Thanks Sierra and Justin for kicking off my wedding season on such a great note ;). Literally... they had a musical theme and the flowers were made out of music paper.
As the norm, I've been surfing the web between editing and emailing and wanted to share some of my favorite wedding/photography links as late. Have a great weekend!
