I was so excited when last Spring, my friend from high school, Ashley contacted me for coverage of her and her fiance Pat's wedding day. It's so nice to reconnect with old friends while doing something I love and on such a special day for them. Ashley got ready with a lot of joyfully excited little girls around her which made for some sweet moments between them. I then followed them to their ceremony site where they wed in front of a small group of close friends and family. It was very intimate and sweet and I felt really special to have been there. Here are a few favorites from the day!

Wow am I excited to show you Storrey and Jeff's wedding!!! They had a beautifully detailed, happy, and fun wedding in Rockport, Maine. They opted to get married at Union Hall and held their reception at the Megunticook Golf Club. The preparation portion was full of elation and anticipation. The ceremony was thoughtful and sweet. The toasts delivered many laughs and happy tears. The dancing was joyful and had many sweet moments. Altogether that's what I call a great wedding. Thank you so much Storrey and Jeff for having me be apart of your special day. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.
I was thrilled with Stormi first contacted me last year to potentially photograph her and Garrett's June wedding at Morgan Hill. I got to get to know them a little better and hear more details for their special day during our engagement session last March and after I was even more excited for their big day to arrive. They used words like "nautical" and colors like "gold and navy" and my wedding imagination took flight. What they put together was more gorgeous then anything I could conjure up in my head.
For this wedding I had the amazing assistance of Andrea Simmons Photography. Working with people like her is a big reason why I love being a Maine wedding photographer.
These two had many amazing vendors as a part of their wedding. Fairwinds Florist created the stunning centerpieces, bouquets, and aisle design.
Stormi and Garrett didn't see each other until the ceremony so they got ready in different rooms at Morgan Hill. Whitney Beal did the girls make-up and the ladies of Hairbenders did their hair.
After the ceremony we went inside to allow guests to filter over to the cocktail hour before starting our formal portraits outside. We got this photo of Stormi and Garrett looking onto their reception before guests arrived.
After speeches and dinner the newlyweds joined me outside for some additional portraits with the beautiful Morgan Hill sunset.
They had a spotlight put on them for their first dance which gave us some really neat and romantic light to work with.
Their cake was made by Sweetheart Cakes in Holden Maine and I loved everything about it! The coloring and nods to their nautical theme were perfect.
In addition to cake, Stormi and Garrett had the Darling's Ice Cream for a Cause truck swing by to offer ice cream to guests for donations going toward the Make a Wish Foundation. Gary, the driver, was nice enough to suggest the bride and groom hop into the truck for some pictures. Thanks Gary!
Then High Tech Entertainment provide the music for the rest of the night's dancing.
I really enjoyed being there and getting to document so many special moments. Congratulations Stormi and Garrett!

Sierra and Justin decided to marry at their alma mater, The University of Maine! I love the idea of the campus as a venue because it offers different kinds scenery, including the oriental gardens, which were in FULL bloom on their wedding day. These two detailed their wedding with little nods to their passion, music. The bouquets were made out of music paper, a chorus of friends sang at their ceremony, and they had kareoke at the reception. If the Zang wedding was any indication of how the rest of my season will play out then I'm really happy about things! Thanks so much for having me document your special day. Here are a few of my favorites from the Zang wedding!
