South Paris, Maine
I'm so excited to start sharing the amazing weddings I've gotten to photograph lately! It's been a wonderful summer and looking back at the first few months of the season makes me so happy to know it's not over yet! I've got 5 more in September and October and boy am I ready!
Today I'd love to share the wedding of Rachel and Ben. They got married at King's Hill Inn and Barn in South Paris Maine. It was my first time shooting at the venue and I fell in love instantly. The owners have done a wonderful job of thinking of all that you'd need to have a gorgeous and stress free wedding. There were many options for backdrops outside that we used and then when the rain started we didn't fret at all since there were some equally beautiful indoor options as well.
The whole day was so touching. The first look, the vows, the speeches- all got my with the feels. What I think touched me most though was how much Ben and Rachel took the time to honor their grandparents. They had three flower-grandmothers and special charms on Rachel's bouquet and Ben's boutonniere with pictures of grandparents who have passed away. Rachel gave me a heads up about this to make sure we got photos of the moments they showed the charms to those who loved them. Those photos are some of my favorite in the bunch. Thank you so much for having me Rachel and Ben! Congratulations <3.
Rachel and Ben took the opportunity during family formals to show their grandparents the charms they had made with her photos of their grandparents that were no longer there. CRY EMOJI HERE.
