It's no joke that Summer was a demanding time for those in the Henri-Francis apartment. It was a time of extremes. We were either milling about or running, relaxing or panicking, sleeping or wide-awake. There were plenty of times where Derek and I caught eyes and raised eyebrows at each other in a, "How exactly are we going to pull this off" way. But by our teeth we got by and all that effort and risk has been so worth it.
I’ve recently left one of the two jobs I’ve had while pursuing photography. I feel very fortunate to have had two places of employment that have supported my ambitions and were so accommodating to my demanding schedule during wedding season. Wether it was needing a Friday off or switching a shift so that I wasn't working late before a wedding, my jobs really bent over backwards for me. Knowing that I have all this faith and support has me in such a great state of mind to transition into this new stage.
I'm SO excited to be able to put all of my energy into Cassandra Henri Photography and to create a stronger presence here on my blog. All of my clients have come to me via word of mouth, which just floors me and makes me feel overwhelmingly lucky for the people whose paths I've crossed with my camera. You lot are simply the best.
And with that I'll leave you with this goat from our trip to Treworgy Farms Apple Orchard.
A special thanks goes out to the headless man in the above photo for making me bring my camera on our orchard trip, even after I assured him that I didn't want to take any pictures that day.
Him: Are you bringing your camera?
Me: No, I think my back could use a break.
Him: Are you sure? You'll wish you had.
Me: Yes. I am sure.
Him: ....I'll carry it for you.
And wouldn't you know I broke down and snapped away. He just gets me I guess... Dawwww.
