It rained on Amy and Roscoe's wedding day, but in all honesty I have to struggle to remember that part. There was so much love and joy and happiness being thrown around that the rain falls by the wayside in my memory. Amy is actually writing a post for me on 'what to do if it rains on your wedding day', because this girl KNOWS. Amy and Roscoe choose to get married where Amy's parents got married at a family camp in Monson, ME.
Our day started with Amy and her Maid of Honor, Niki getting ready at Amy's grandmother's home.
I found this corner of her grandmother's home to photograph the dress in and ended up writing a little post about it over HERE.
We then headed over to Amy's Aunt's home which was closer to the ceremony site to put the dress on.
Amy's mother buttoned her in...
and her grandmother tied her bow.
Amy had the most epic entrance I have ever seen at wedding. And that includes the ones I've seen in movies. She told her father that she wanted to come in on a tractor. Boy did he deliver, with a hand made white arch and comfortable chair, he brought his daughter to her wedding ceremony.
The ceremony was officiated by Roscoe's brother. They read their own vows and tied a fishermen's knot to represent their union.
After the ceremony the couple and I went back inside for a few indoor shots.
Just like Amy's entrance to her wedding ceremony, the couples entrance to the reception was nothing less than epic. After a couple revs of the engine to clear the way the bride and groom strolled in on this beast.
They were greeted by their friends family and this four legged lady who was VERY happy to see them.
Then it was straight to the dances. The dances are proving to be one of my favorite parts of a wedding.
There wasn't a dry eye in the house during the father/daughter dance.
During the reception I stole the bridal party away or a few short moments to capture some photos while there was a break in the rain.
I can't help but smile so hard when I go through the pictures of these three ladies...
Then it was on to the cake, bouquet and garter toss.
And the party continued.
The wedding ended in fireworks... YES you read that right- fireworks. It was a beautiful way to end such a beautiful day. Thank you so much Amy and Roscoe for letting me be apart of your special day. I feel so lucky to have been there.
